Coach Ssemwogerere On How Express Can Achieve Success

Express FC Coach George ‘Sim’ Ssemwogerere has advised the club on ways that should be taken to achieve better results.

In his recent column in a local newspaper, Bukedde, Sim noted that Express should start getting good players other than bringing in other clubs’ rejects.

He also advised the fans to know their limits if the club us to achieve it’s set targets. This comes days after Sim needed security men (Police) to leave Wankulukuku after the club was eliminated in the Uganda Cup semis by Bright Stars.

The coach also bragged about the formidable changes he has put in place since joining the club in February 5, 2019 when he replaced Kefa Kisala.

“Express is a big club with big ambitious and we all want the best for our dear club,” Sim writes. “So I advise that we should concentrate looking for good ways to get the right players, not other club’s rejects.”

“We managed to finsh tenth in the league and a good Uganda Cup run in which is a big achievement, and I think that if we can work together, and the fans get to know their limits, we will be good to go.”

It should be noted that Express FC finished tenth place on the log on the final day with 40 points. The club won 10 games, 10 draws and as many losses. They scored and conceded the same number of goals – 30.

However, it should be noted that Kefa Kisala left Express FC in tenth place after 17 league games.

“I have made several changes at Express FC since I joined the team and the level at which we have been playing at has greatly improved compared to the past.”

He commended Express FC fans, Club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka together with the club’s Executive committee for trusting him to do his coaching job, “They have done this without interfering my line of duty.”

He also thanked his coaching team of James Magala, Ivan Ntambi, Hassan Mubiru, Emmanuel Balyejusa, Abdul Kinobe and the two club doctors. He spared some time to praise his players.
