Ndejje University Lions beat fellow relegation battlers 3-1 in a league game played at Arena of Visions in Bombo, Luwero.

Robert Eseru gave Ndejje an halftime lead when he headed in Ronald Odokonyero’s cross before Isaac Kisujju came off the bench to bag a brace. Joseph Akandwaho scored for Nyamityobora.

Ndejje lighten their survival chances despite remaining in the red zone with 24 points, but they sit two below ‘safe’ Maroons and SC Villa.

Ndejje have now gone four games with a loss since falling 3-0 away to Bright Stars.

Ndejje had drawn their last two games against BUL and Mbarara after a shocking 2-1 win over Vipers.

This was Nyamityobora’s 17th loss of the season, and remain second from bottom with 17 points.

Next for Ndejje is a game against SC Villa as Nyamityobora will host Maroons in games that may shape the foot of the table.
