Players Abroad: Ssentamu On Target In Albania

Uganda’s forward Yunus ‘Manucho’ Ssentamu was on target but his side FK Tirana was denied maximum points in the Albania Super league on Saturday.

Ssentamu came off the bench to replace Michael Ngoo inside the first stanza and gave Tirana a lead when he scored at the stroke of halftime but Redon Xhixha grabbed a late equaliser in the added minutes.

Ssentamu joined the Albanian outfits in mid 2017 from Finnish club FC Ilves.

The forward came onto the scene courtesy of Schools Championships with St Julian SS before joining St Marys’ in Kitende.

He featured in Masaza for Bulemeezi and played for Vipers SC in the Uganda Premier League.

He had stints at AS Vita in Congo and CS Sfaxien before travelling to Europe.

This season, he has scored five goals in 14 league games for Tirana who are 8th on the ten team log.
