FUFA Drum: Buganda Front Balinya, Mutanda To Gun Down Lango

All is set for the second edition of the FUFA Drum. Buganda’s Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga will grace the 2019 opener and sound the drum to mark the official kickoff.

Buganda will seek to get off to a perfect start in their quest to defend their crown when they play host to Lango at Bishops SS play ground, Mukono.

Uganda Premier League leading top scorers Juma Balinya and Bashir Mutanda are expected to lead the attacking line for Buganda who beat West Nile in a two legged finals.

Balinya, knocking on National team, has scored 16 goals for Police FC while Mutanda has managed 13 goals for a struggling SC Villa side in the ongoing campaign.

Head coach Alex Isabirye Musongola, currently with Nyamityobora FC, has more variety in the attacking front including Robert Ssentongo (Kyetume), Allan Kayiwa (Tooro United) and Viane Ssekajugo (Onduparaka) among others.

Lango: ‘In King David We Trust’

Lango who beat Buganda 3-1 last season in Mukono, have added Cranes legend David Obua as their new Coach.

The team has a couple of top flight players including Okwir Dickens (Paidha), Allan Okello (KCCA), John Ocire (Nyamityobora) and Timothy Awany (KCCA) among others.
