Alex Kakuba: Left Back Gets New Club

Ugandan fullback Alex Kakuba has joined Lori FC, a top flight club in Armenia, Asia.

The club confirmed the development via their official website.

We are glad to inform you that Lori FC has signed a contract with Ugandan full-back Alex Kakuba,” reads an excerpt on the website.

This follows recent months after Kakuba’s contract was terminated by his former Greek Club Pas Gianina.

Kakuba, given Jersey number 3, finds Lori FC in fifth place with 30 points after 20 games.

Lori, originally founded in 1936 was revived in 2017 after winning the 2017–18 Armenian First League competition.

Kakuba began his professional career at Proline FC before leaving in 2012 for Portuguese fourth-tier side Esperanca Lagos.

A year later, he joined the second-tier outfit Covilha, before signing for top flight side Estoril Praia.

Kakuba later transferred to PAS Giannina in July 2018 before his two year contract was terminated in December last year.
