Vipers SC Vs Maroons, 4:00 PM
(St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende)

Vipers SC will miss some of their key players as they take on struggling Maroons at Kitende in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Striker Tito Okello and defender Bashir Asiku will be unavailable as they serve suspensions due to accumulated cards.

Okello, who scored an important goal, among many, when the club picked an away point off Express FC last year will be a big blow for Nam Ouma’s charges.

His aerial prowess upfront will be dearly missed as they take on a hard fighting Maroons.

Vipers will need to bounce back after recent poor performances.

Livingstone Mulondo resumed training with the rest of his teammates however, this fixture comes too early for him, the club confirmed.

Fabien Mutombora is still in Burundi for national duty and Derrick Ochan is expected to start in the posts. Vipers U-19 goal keeper Mitwalib Mugolofa will make the bench as the second choice.

Geoffrey Wasswa and Bashir Ssekagya are still long term absentees.

The club us expected to use National team representatives Tadeo Lwanga, Moses Waiswa and Halid Lwaliwa who were part of the Cranes team that lost 3-0 to Tanzania.

Vipers, second on the log, have collected 45 points from 23 games, four points below leaders KCCA and this may reduce with victory if KCCA fail to win in Jinja.

Maroons are 12th, two places adrift of the red zone with 25 points going into match-day 24.

Vipers who have gone Twp games without a win – lost to Ndejje (league) and Proline (Cup) – won the reverse fixture 2-1 away in Luzira.
