Uganda’s shot stopper Denis Masinde Onyango will face off with Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League.
Mamelodi Sundowns, where Onyango is the goalkeeper, have been drawn against Al Ahly of Egypt following a draw that was held on Wednesday evening in Cairo.
Sundowns who finished second in group A with 10 points behind Wydad Casablanca, will host the first leg on the weekend of April 5-6 before a trip to Cairo the following week.
Al Ahly topped group D with ten points, losing 1-0 twice against AS Vita and Simba on the road.

Onyango, probably Africa’s finest goalkeeper be tasked to stop a free flowing Al Ahly from scoring. The Egyptian will front their hottest machine Karim Walid Nedved who has so far found the back of the net three times in this completion this season.
Al Ahly have won the CAF Champions league a record eight times – 1982, 1987, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013. TP Mazembe and Zamalek are joint second, having won it five times each.
Sundowns on the other hand, have won it once – 2016 and finished runners up in 2001, losing to Al Ahly.
In the other interesting ties, Uganda’s Joseph Ochaya who plays with TP Mazembe will face Emmanuel Okwi and Murushid Juuko of Simba in what looks like a one sided affair.
