Proline FC: Coach Bisaso Remains Focussed Despite Cup Progress

Proline FC Coach Shafic Bisaso is not taken away by the big Uganda Cup win against pre-tournament favourites Vipers.

Proline FC ousted Vipers with a shocking 2-1 win (after extra-time) at the Quarter finals in Lugogo.

Despite the progress to the semis, Bisaso, speaking after the win, revealed that his target with Proline this season is to earn Promotion back to the Uganda Premier League.

Bisaso, formerly at Villa and Express FC, revealed after the game:

“Am happy that we won against Vipers but this will not distract me from achieving my set target. Our focus is not here, its in topping our Big league group to earn promotion.”

Proline FC are leading the Rwenzori group after 14 games with 30 points – one and two points above Kiboga and Kansai respectively.

Ibrahim Bonyo came off the bench to score an extra-time winner for the Proline FC. Captain Noordin Bunjo had seen his opener canceled out by Taddeo Lwanga’s header in the 75th minute.

“This is the first time we are in the semis, its a big motivation,” Bisaso said. “People can recognise what we are building here at Proline after this win I guess.”

“The boys did the good job, they listened to my instructions and am happy for that. We told them not to have pressure, because we were playing against a stronger team.”
